Botany with Kelly Omand at West Gate/Ram Pasture

Accompany NCF Plant Ecologist & Botanist Kelly Omand on a loop walk at West Gate/Ram Pasture to learn about winter plant identification, from seed pods to twigs and buds. We will discuss the ecology of our winter landscape, and strategies plants and woody species use to survive winter and wake up in the spring. We will follow the trail through shrublands and open fields, past areas of shrub swamp and wet meadows and sandplain grassland.
