NISDA is a cultural arts educational institution whose mission is to explore the connections of the arts, sciences, humanities, and the environment, and to enhance education, community and quality of life through the arts. Now in its fourth decade, generations of students, islanders, summer visitors, student and professional artists have explored the arts in its workshops and programs. NISDA fosters creative freedom and nurtures the imagination through its deep respect for the artistic process through multicultural and interdisciplinary environmental arts stewardship as an expression of human spirit, resiliency and voice of social conscience. NISDA hosts Art Programs for all ages, Artist-In-Residence, Cultural Arts Lectures, Community Events & Gallery Exhibitions.

I had visited Nantucket for 30 years before buying our beautiful Orange Street property. We have created a very successful business by keeping in mind what was most important to us as renters. Cleanliness, attention to detail and an outstanding value are our tried and true commitments to our guests. I own my gallery that my late husband David Hostetler founded in 1983. I represent his sculpture and a program of painters, photographers and printmakers.

Captain Kent is a Licensed USCG 100-ton Master. He has over 40 years of experience, logging over 40,000 hours at sea in all types of weather venues and vessels. His love of the sea and sailing began on the North Shore of Boston boat building, sailing and commercial fishing. Living on Nantucket for 25 years he knows the local waters from Cape Cod & the Islands, the Eastern Seaboard, Florida and the Caribbean. 

During the summer of 2019, Charity Grace shot her favorite photo, "Be the Light, Sankaty no. 2" under a new moon. "Nantucket's dark skies give the opportunity to capture the milky way which is such a gift," she said.

When not taking landscapes, chasing the Milky Way, and finding creative ways to slip human, furry, and product subjects into these settings, Charity Grace can be found playing music, frolicking the beaches and gardening in her yard.

Describing her photography style as meditative, Charity Grace wishes to bring hope, joy and comfort to others through her images... as she finds those same emotions herself while taking the photos.

Dan grew up in Maine where he taught himself to fish. His trips for trout and bass found him traveling extensively across the state. Pursuing a career in the trades in 2014 led to Nantucket with the awesome variety of fish Nantucket had to offer, he soon fell in love with the island. Surfcasting on Nantucket was challenging at first but the rewards were tantalizing in some of the most exciting fishing experiences he's ever had and he's thrilled to share that excitement with others!
