About Us

Our mission is to enrich the cultural life of Nantucket by providing a dedicated venue for live performances, creative expression, and educational programming. The center will serve as a collaborative hub for the island’s artistic community, ensuring that Nantucket remains a premier destination for theater, music, dance, and other performing arts. Located at 5 North Water Street near the Whaling Museum in downtown Nantucket, the NPAC represents a singular cultural achievement. The Campus boasts a 150 seat proscenium theatre, a bar and courtyard, and a 2,100 sf house for staff and visiting guests. NPAC will serve as a home for a resident Actors’ Equity theater company (ACKarts Theatre Company) while supporting other cultural organizations, festivals, and artistic endeavors on the island. The house and theatre will also be available for special event rentals including private parties, weddings, and corporate meetings.
