About Us
The Annual Sandcastle and Sculpture Contest at Jetties Beach! Nantucket Island School of Design and the Arts founded this event in 1975, and today the Sandcastle Contest is co-sponsored by NISDA and the Nantucket Chamber of Commerce. It began with neighborhood families getting together at the beach with a picnic to enjoy time together building sand castles and has now grown to include our whole Nantucket Community and Island Visitors – many coming from afar and returning year after year to participate!
Ths day long and family friendly event is fun for participants and observers as well! Family, Youth, Teen and Adult categories with ribbons awarded in many categories...Join us for this classic summer event! www.nisda.org
